Tactics #3
White to play and win
From a game played online thechesscorner-N.N 2007
Solution:
1 Nd5! wins.
1..Bd5 is met by 2Rc8! while 1..Qd5 loses because of 2Bf6 with mate on g7. This tactical theme is called overloading.

I don't think that 1.Nd5 is the soultion; black could answer by playing 1..Bxe5 and now: 2. Rxc8; Bxc8 and if 3. dxe5 with the threat Nf6 is met by 3..Qxd5 so, please post the right solution!
1Nd5 Be5 2Rc8 Bc8 3Re5 is the way to go Now Black can try 3..Nc6, covering e7 and attacking the Rook in e5 ( double attack). But White wins in one move with 4 Rh5!! Because 4..Re8 5 Qh7+ Kf8 6 Qh8 is mate.
If you try 3..Be6 covering e7, same punishment 4Rh5!!
You could try 2..Bh2+ 3 Kh2 Bc8 4 Bg6! wins immediately too.
Unfortunately, I did not find 1 Nd5! during the game, and managed to lose the game later on ...

You bring an interesting point:
1Nd5 Be5
2Rc8 Bc8
3Re5 is the way to go

1Nd5! wins indeed.
Thanks for pointing out a resourceful defense.
Well done !!!
