Tactics at the 39th move

Find the best move with White !


White (who sent me the spectacular game and position) to play in the following position, which happened in a recent tournament game.

1. Ng5 wins indeed, here are a few lines:
a) 1..Qa1 2.Qe8+ Kg7 3.Qf7+ Kh6 4.Qf8+! K:g5 (4..Qg7 5. Nf7+ and
6.Q:g7) 5.f4+ Kh5 6.g4+ Rh4 7.Qh6#
b) 1..Qa2 2.Qe8+ Kg7 3.Qe7+ Kh6/g8 4. Ne6 and black has to give up its Q in order to evoid mate
c) 1..Qa8 2.Qe6+ Kg7 3.Qe7+ Kh6
4.Ne6 Rd5 5.Qg7+ Kh5 6.g4+ Kh4
7.Qe7+ with mate in one
d) 1..Rd8 2.Qe6+ Kg7 3.Qe7+ Kh6 4.Nf7+ Kg7 5.N:d8+ Kh6 6. Qf8+ Kg5 7.Ne6+ Kh5 8.g4+ Q:g4 9.h:g4+ Kh4 10.Qh6+ K:g4 11.Qh3#

Yes and Yes.

1. Ng5! wins. A classic example where Queen+Knight pair up to chase the opponent's King.

This is a great position to solve because Black has a Queen+Rook which means he's leading from a material standpoint.
